Tables
A table is written as Markdown draws it: a row per line, cells between pipes, and a rule under the header that leans each column left, centre or right and can make it wider.
| Vaccine | Given | Due again |
|---|---|---|
| Six-in-one | march | 12 months |
| Rabies | march | 12 months |
| Worming | august | 3 months |
| Vaccine | Given | Due again |

Where the column width lives
In how long the rule under the header is drawn. Markdown has nowhere to keep a column width, so Tisty writes it as the length of that column's dashes and reads it back the same way — a wider column, a longer rule. Every other Markdown reader ignores how many dashes there are and draws a plain table.
| Short | A wider column |
| :--- | :---------------------------------------- |
- Four dashes or more set the width, ten pixels a dash.
- Three dashes leave the width to the page, so a table written anywhere else looks as it always did.
