The new environment management makes connecting to environments and switching between them a lot easier.

Adding a new environment

To add a new environment, you just need to open the Environment drop-down menu from the toolbar and select "Manage Environments..."

If you don't see the Environment drop-down list in your toolbar, make sure that Xrm Tool toobar is not hidden, by right-clicking on the toolbar and making sure Xrm Tools is selected in the list of toolbars.

Switching between environments

To switch to another environment, you just need to click on the Environment drop-down menu in the toolbar and select a different environment.

Depending on the scope that you have selected for your environment management, the current environment will be stored the moment you choose a new environment from the list.

New environment detection

Whenever you open a solution that is bound to an unfamiliar environment, you'll notice a notification bar at the top of Visual Studio informing about it. If you click on "Add Environment" button, the new environment will be prefilled for you to add it to the list.
