"Hello again everyone! It's Minecraft 26.3 day! Yay! I tried real hard to get this out on release day so you guys can play the new drop. If there's any bugs, ehhhh don't blame me too hard."
"There's a few REALLY cool features in this RMF version, so I hope you all enjoy it!"
[1.5.2] - 2026-09-15
Added
Items
- Added a Mortar & Pestle type for Poplar Planks
Advancements
- "From Farm To Table" for using a Scythe enchanted with Fire Aspect to harvest fully grown Potatoes or Carrots
Misc
- Added Stonecutter Damage config option (enabled by default)
- When enabled, Stonecutters will deal 2 hearts of damage to any mobs or players standing on one
- Being killed by a Stonecutter will display "(...) was sliced to pieces" in chat
- Illusioners are now counted for the "Reaper of Souls" advancement
- Even though it's actually harder to one shot an Illusioner rather than a Pillager or Vindicator (they need to be weakened with other attacks first), i'm adding it praying that big 'jang adds them proper to the game 🤞
- Added
rmf:entity/is_hoglinpredicate- Entities in this list will be counted as "hoglins" and sometimes drop Bone-In Ham when killed (if they aren't babies)
- If that entity is also on fire, they will instead drop Cooked Ham
- Default entities: Hoglin (duh)
- Entities in this list will be counted as "hoglins" and sometimes drop Bone-In Ham when killed (if they aren't babies)
- Added
rmf:entity/is_soul_reaping_targetpredicate- Adding new entities to this list will also make them targets for the advancement, thus granting it if the other conditions are met
- Default entities: Illusioners, Pillagers, Vindicators, Evokers, and Players
- Added
rmf:entity/is_wolfpredicate- If an entity is added to this list, taming that entity will grant the player the Bowl of Dog Food recipe
- Default entities: Wolf (duh)
- Added
rmf:entity/is_catpredicate- If an entity is added to this list, taming that entity will grant the player the Bowl of Cat Food recipe
- Default entities: Cat (duh)
- Added
rmf:entity/is_item_framepredicate- Entities added to this list will trigger the advancement if a player interacts with it while holding an Item Crate. May or may not work for non-Item Frame entities
- Default entities: Item Frames, Glow Item Frames
- Added
rmf:has_loud_attackpredicate- Items added to this list will play a loud "frying-pan-against-someone's-skull" sound effect when used to attack a mob
- Default items: Frying Pan, Golden Frying Pan, Creative Pan
- Added
rmf:entity_type/immune_to_stonecuttertag- Entities added to this tag will NOT be harmed when standing on a Stonecutter, if the Stonecutter Damage config option is enabled
- Added some extra text to the Dough, Taiga Bean Flour, and Banana Bread entries in the cookbook
- Quartz Plates now make a sound when placed in an Item Frame
- The sound is played on the "Friendly Mobs" level, so setting that sound to "OFF" in options will mute it
- Scythes can now be used (Right Clicked) on crops to instantly harvest and replant them
- This works on the following crop blocks:
- Wheat
- Potatoes
- Carrots
- Tomatoes (Beetroots)
- Nether Wart
- Pumpkin (blocks)
- Melon (blocks)
- Using a Scythe to harvest a crop when it isn't fully grown yet will instead reset it to its first stage, and waste durability
- When used to harvest Pumpkins and Melons, Scythes will preserve the stem block and only pick up the Pumpkin/Melon. There aren't any bonus drops for doing this, it's just faster than mining the block
- Mining the block with a Hoe does the same thing, and mining the block with an Axe will still break open Melons
- This works on the following crop blocks:
- Harvesting a Potato or Carrot crop with a Fire Aspect Scythe will now give the player Baked Potatoes or Roasted Carrots
- Added a description to Scythes to better explain their usage
- Added custom loot tables for Tomatoes, Carrots, Nether Wart, Potatoes, and Wheat when a Scythe is used to harvest them
- These have different drop rates than their vanilla counterparts and only trigger when a Scythe is used to harvest their fully grown crop block
Changed
Foods
- PB&J Sandwiches, Glowing PB&J Sandwiches, and MCT Sandwiches now take 2 bites to finish eating
- This doubles their food value (and time to completely eat)
- The halved sandwich item has the same data as their full version, so eating a half sandwich will contribute to the "The Gourmand" advancement if the player hasn't eaten that sandwich item yet
- Bowls of Baked Beans now restore 8 Nutrition and 9 Saturation (from 6 Nutrition and 8 Saturation)
Items
- Biomass now has the same furnace burn time as Coal/Charcoal
- The following items now fill 2 layers in a Composter:
- Coconuts
- Mangoes
- Apple Pie
- Sweet Berry Pie
- Glow Berry Pie
- Biomash and Dragon Fruit now fill 3 layers in a Composter
- Blackberries can now also be found in Dark Oak Forests
Recipes
Advancements
- The "Hell's Kitchen" advancement now requires players to completely fry an item in the Nether, rather than simply pressing the Use Key on the Frying Pan when in the dimension
- Cookbooks are now crafted at twice the speed in furnaces (cooking time is now 5 seconds)
- Stuffed Potatoes are now crafted from only raw meats, instead of cooked ones
- Biomass can now be crafted with Rotten Flesh
- The following items can now be crafted from Shelf Mushrooms:
- Rabbit Stew
- Nether Wart Soup
- Assorted Seasoning
- Stuffed Pumpkins
- Sushi Rolls
- Sushi Logs
Misc
- Hoglins now have a 50% chance to drop Bone-In Ham when killed (or Cooked Ham if killed with fire)
- Changed how version updates are detected in the
rmf:loadfunction to hopefully fix any errors with updating - Mushroom Stew now stacks properly when obtained from Mooshrooms
- Moved Bowls of Baked Beans to the "Starters" tab of the Cookbook
- Redid how compostable items are detected
- Rather than a compostable item (like Apple Pie) having the dummy item of a Cookie, they now have a
minecraft:compostableitem component, which allows for customization of compost levels- If all of that sounds like mumbo jumbo to you, just know the code is cleaner and better now. Nothing has changed too much in-game
- Rather than a compostable item (like Apple Pie) having the dummy item of a Cookie, they now have a
- Changed some text for uninstalling the datapack
- Changed how the
rmf:give_all_itemsconfig function works- For safety reasons (i may or may not have triggered a "Java Out Of Memory" error on myself during dev), the function now spawns the shulkers at the player's location instead of in a chest
Removed
- Removed the
rmf:is_starvingpredicate as it's no longer used - Removed the
rmf:is_fullpredicate as it's no longer used - Removed the
rmf:using_mixing_bowlas it's seemingly unused? - Removed several unused leftover files and incorrect recipe references (none of which are terribly important to list here) as Minecraft 26.3 gets awfuly upset at their existance and refuses to load the datapack if they are detected (fair)
- Removed the
rmf:reset_bonus_hoeablesbackground function as it is now done differently - Removed the
rmf:mined_bonus_hoeablespredicate - Removed the
rmf.mined_wheatandrmf.mined_beetrootsscores - Rice can no longer be found from brushing Suspicious Sand (there's a much easier way of obtaining it, and updating the loot tables for each rice instance every time it's updated is annoying)
- Removed the
minecraftfolder override files for Potatoes, Carrots, and Wheat
