Performing initial startup

  1. Plug one side of the USB cable on the programming port (micro USB port) on the left side of your RA* controller.
  2. Plug the other end into your computer.
  3. Open your browser of choice and go to http://forum.reefangel.com/webwizard
  4. Click the menu button on the top left corner.
  5. Click "Download Plugin"
  6. The plug in will be downloaded. Install it when the download is completed.
  7. You should see a blue box with "Plugin found and connected" if the plugin is installed correctly.
  8. Click "Menu" and select "Wizard" from the drop down list.
  9. Choose "Reef Angel Star" from the drop down list that says "No boards selected."
  10. Follow the prompt and set it up according to your own environment.
  11. At the end, the webwizard will generate the code that you can upload to your controller.
  12. Make sure to select the correct local serial port from the drop down list that says "No port selected." Remote upload is not available for the first time setup.
  13. When the upload is completed, the unit will reboot and your code will be running.
  14. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer and connect it to the power adapter.

Note: Prior to connecting power to your RA* via the power adapter, your temperature probes need to be attached for them to be recognized on controller initialization.

At this point you have just completed the basic setup of your controller and it is ready to run your equipment!
