system Restore matters because it protects and repair the computer software. System Restore takes a "snapshot" of the system files and the Windows registry and saves them as Restore and that can be very useful in the future just in case something goes wrong.
System restore tool basically lets you revert to a previous software, registry, and driver configuration called restore point. It's like "undoing" the last major change to Windows, taking your computer back to the way it was when the restore point was created.
