Mirth Connect : Contributor Agreement

Created by Nick Rupley, last modified on Apr 23, 2015

The Mirth Project is a community-driven, open source effort. The Mirth Project welcomes and appreciates your contributions. Contributions can take the form of code, documentation, testing, feedback, feature requests, bug fixes, specifications, and money.

Some contributions (for example, code for Mirth Connect, a bug-fix, or a channel for Mirth Exchange) require that you sign a Mirth Contributor Agreement (MCA). To contribute code or channels just follow the steps below:

  1. Sign the Mirth Contributor Agreement
  2. Contribute your code or channels to Mirth
  3. We will review your contribution and ensure its quality, making any necessary changes
  4. We will include your contributions in Mirth or the Mirth Exchange

Please download, review, and sign this agreement if you would like to contribute code to the Mirth Project. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about whether or not you need to sign the MCA.

If you are contributing on behalf of a company or organization, an officer of your company must sign the MCA and indicate his or her title. The company can choose to list the specific individuals authorized to make contributions on the “Full Name” line, or may cover all employees with a blanket MCA by not limiting contributors to an authorized list. If necessary, the company may provide a list of authorized contributors in an attachment. The executive signing the MCA must be the first name on such an attached list, and this executive must sign the attachment as well. It may well be the case that your company already has signed a company-wide MCA with Mirth, so you should check first.
