Judging Process - razorpay/ftx-hackathon GitHub Wiki

Please ensure that your submission is complete, and includes a video (max 3 minute duration) before the hackathon closes. The judging process will take a week and the winners will be announced on the Razorpay FTX website.

Evaluation

  • Submission : A well written submission and video demo are important. Please be concise in explaining what your project does and how to use it. Please ensure to restrict your video demo to not more than 3 mins/per submission.
  • Completeness : Does the hack do everything it is supposed to? Does it look like an MVP? Are there too many unfinished features? Too few to be called a MVP?
  • Design and Aesthetics : If you are creating a user interface as part of your product, try and ensure that they are clean, modern, and usable. Look at the UX as well - does it seem obvious?
  • Innovation : We would like to see how innovative your solution is. An e-commerce store built on top of Razorpay APIs is not innovative, for eg. Are there interesting ideas in there?
  • Impact : Is this gonna make an impact?
  • Timeframe: The project must be reasonably built within the given timeframe. The judgement of the jury will be final in this.
  • Acknowledgement/Credits: If you are using existing code, make sure you credit it. If the third party source has certain licensing requirements which is either broken by your usage or is not respected, the submission may be disqualified.
  • Technical Complexity: Be able to explain the technical complexity of your project.

Judging Process

As mentioned in the Hackathon Rules all submissions should be sent in by 13th December 1200 IST, 2020. Due to the overwhelming participation, we will have 2 levels of judging:

  1. The first level of evaluation will begin at 14:00 hours on 13th. There would be 3 panels of internal Razorpay judges, who will be evaluating your hacks starting at 14:00 hours and expected to finish by 17:00 hours. We anticipate around 10-12 finalists from this.
  2. The second and final round of evaluation will begin at 18:00 hours, where the finalists will meet our external judges to win the final round.

All the best! 🏆
