Taxonomical Venn Diagram module provides method to plot a venn diagram that visualise and compare the membership of samples or groups of samples at a user-specified taxonomic rank. In a venn diagram, each circle contains the number of taxa unique to each sample (or group of samples) and the number of shared taxa represented by the overlapping areas of circles.

Load Data and Subsample

Analysis starts from loading data in the Load Data panel. User can select the project and data label to load the saved data. After loading data, subsampling can be done in the Filter panel if needed.

Parameters

Taxonomic Rank For Agglomeration: select the taxonomic rank to agglomerate the counts of reads in samples.

Group Column: define the grouping of data for the plot. User may choose Sample to plot and compare the microbial membership among individual samples, or choose a character or factor column of the sample data table to group the samples for comparison. Users may select the samples or groups to be plotted from the checkboxes. Note that the venn diagram could only be plotted when 2 - 5 samples or groups are selected.

Result

Taxonomical Venn Diagram module plots a venn diagram for comparison of microbial membership in samples or groups at a user-specified taxonomic rank. The plot can be downloaded by clicking the Download button.

Graphic Parameters

Graphic Parameters panel provides options in the Title and Label tabs to customise the plot.
