Function
The board contains only micro-switches which make up the Remote Controller buttons. Not much other electronics is located on it. Having buttons on a separate board makes any tension created by user separated from the fragile main electronics. It also makes it a lot cheaper to fix damaged buttons by just replacing the one simple board.
