Please provide a one-page summary of the project that you intend to execute. I recommend the following format:

(1 paragraph) What problem are you going to solve/investigate? Be specific. This is your thesis.
(1 paragraph) Why is this problem hard/interesting/worthwhile/important?
(1 paragraph) What is the current state of the art and how does it fall short/differ/suck? Please include 3-5 citataions of the most closely related work.
(1 paragraph) What is your methodology? What data are you going to use? What software tools?
(1 paragraph) What do you expect to find? How are you going to present that finding?

I expect that doing this will occupy about one page, take 2-3 hours, and help you focus the rest of you effort this semester.

I am asking you to turn these in by next Friday 10/26/2018. I aim to have them reviewed with feedback by the following Tuesday.
