Maybe a conceptual overview of making a fighting game...? I mean... it’s not really different from making a basic space shooter game is it? It just depends on how complex the fighting game is... They all have input and collision, that’s for sure, but so do most games! How does it differ from any other game beyond this genre?

Then, once I get a laptop (this week?), i’ll spend the month game jamming out a few simple fighting games, beginning with the most simple / minimalist (Samurai Gunn / Towerfall), and slowly wandering from there (try different weapons, mechanics...)... Can also try various camera views to see what else might work, beyond 2D side. Anyway, I plan to keep it all on GitHub, so anyone can see, learn, use it as a template, quickly experiment, prototype, ‘n so on. A kind of... simple fighting-game maker, but... you know, for programmers. ;)
