Chapter locking - rage/secret-project-331 GitHub Wiki
This page explains what chapter locking is and how to enable it. If you are looking for a way to set chapter deadlines that apply to all students, see Editing chapter and chapter cards
What is chapter locking
- Requires students to lock the current chapter, before they can submit exercise answers to the following chapters.
- After a student locks a chapter, they cannot submit exercise answers to the chapter any more.
- As a teacher, you can select which exercises you want to grade manually. For example, the last exercise of each chapter.
When to use chapter locking, examples
- You want students to submit exercise answers that build iteratively towards a larger work. You want to show a summative example solution at the end of the chapter and do not want the students submit any further answers to the chapter after they have viewed the example solution.
