Quick start guide - raffyMartinez/GPXManager GitHub Wiki
GPX Manager is a database application for managing and viewing GPS data. GIS-like functionality via MapWinGIS allows us to see GPS data on a map.
Requirements
- A copy of the latest version of GPX Manager installer
- A copy of the installer of MapWinGIS version 4.9.6
Installing
Installing MapWinGIS
Install MapWinGIS using the default settings that are suggested by the installer. If MapWinGIS is not installed, GPX Manager will still open and function normally but an error will result if a map window is opened. This will be fixed in a future update.
Installing and first time use of GPX Manager

GPX Manager is installed like how most Windows software are installed. However, it is strongly suggested not to install the software in the Program Files folder of windows but in a separate location. This will make it easier to maintain the software. The suggested folder to install the software is at
c:\GPXManager
. -
After installing, you can open the start menu and scroll down to the list of installed software. You will see a folder named GPX Manager. Open the folder to see a shortcut to open the GPX Manager application.

Setup the application. You will need to provide the following: 3.1. Folder where backup of GPX files will be saved 3.2. Folder in GPS devices where GPX files are located. For Garmin models, the folder is
Garmin\GPX
3.3. Location of MS Access database. Click on the locate button to open a folder and click on the MDB file namedgps_gpx.mdb
