The university has made an investment in Research Storage for 10 TB for Turbo and 100 TB for Data Den at no financial cost to them.  

There are three cases to deal with:

Faculty make their own requests via the Research Management Portal Form.

1. Faculty, ARC or Unit Support staff will fill out the RCP form
   1. Storage will be 10 TB for Turbo, and depending on their Sensitive Data Selection could be split between Restricted Data and unrestricted data volumes. 
   2. Storage will be 100 TB for Data Den.  When Data Den is approved for Restricted Data we will need to set up the same code delineations as for Turbo.  
2. The form will output to a Team Dynamix ticket. 
3. ARC will take the output and fill out the SRS request on the users behalf.
   1. ARC will need to select the RCP checkbox when entering the RCP shortcode.  
   2. This is a short term process.  We want the RCP form to preallocate everything on behalf of the user, as possible: SRS,  and AD Groups (with unix GiDs that match the Mcommunity GIDs

For requests that already have a Turbo/Data Den volume.

1. The faculty, ARC, or Unit Support staff will indicate that a storage volume is an SRS volume in the RCP form.  
2. The form will output to a Team Dynamix Ticket.  
3. ARC will take the output and use SRS on the users behalf.
   1. ARc will Modify Turbo or Modify Data Den SRS forms to include the RCP checkbox while entering the RCP shortcode. 
   2. This is a Short Term Process.  We want the RCP form to automate the changes to SRS on behalf of the user/admin. 

**For Michigan Medicine RCP. **

1. RCP volumes in the Michigan Medicine RCP will be transformed by some code that Brock is working on.
