A pressure switch is used in the control loop for the compressor.
It is normally closed, and opens at approximately 115 psi and will not close again until the pressure drops to approximately 95 psi, so that the compressor doesn't run all of the time (increasing both safety and battery life).
The pressure switch must be wired directly to the “PRESSURE SW” Weidmuller connectors. The PCM will handle turning the compressor on and off based on the state of the pressure switch and the Enable state of the robot: if any type of solenoid valve object is constructed in your robot's code code, the PCM compressor control should be automatically enabled.
