Synchronize audio and video - quanticc/lawena-recording-tool GitHub Wiki

I know some people have trouble when rendering that might be cause if the video is not synchronized with the audio. Well, it's easy to fix.

First to all, we need VirtualDub, and lawena, obviously. Assuming you know how to record with lawena, go to step 1 (if you don't know how, go to Instructions).

  • Open lawena and select the frame rate (FPS) 1

Start TF2 and Record your frags. When you finish, go to your movies folder, you'll see a lot of .tga files, we need to convert these files to a video.

2

  • Open virtualdub (VirtualDub.exe)

3

  • Go to File>Open video file, and select the first file of the sequence (Ex: a1_0000.tga, b2_0000.tga)

4

  • When VirtualDub finishes, we need to select the audio file, go to Audio>Audio from other file...

5

And select the file of your sequence (Ex: a1_0000.tga = a1_.wav, b2_0000.tga = b2_.wav)

6

  • Then, go to Video>Frame rate.

7

And select the option Change so video and audio... Like the image, and hit OK.

8

Note: The value depends of your settings.

  • Now you can render, I recommend rendering as uncompressed AVI file (if you want to change this, go to video>compression)

9

Now, wait until it's finished.
