Introduction

The qbo3.NuGet plugin allows administrators to download and install code components contained in a package from a NuGet feed.

NuGet Plugin Basic Setup

  1. Ensure that the packages.config file for the main project in the solution is set with the properties Build Action = Content.

  2. Ensure that IIS's configuration is set so that App Pool's Windows user identity utilizes a roaming/profile based user folder as opposed to the ..\System32\inetserv\ folder, by adding/ensuring that %WINDIR%\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config contains the following node and attributes:

  1. Run Setup.NuGet.xml to get the default feeds for the search UI (nuget.org/Quandis Software Packages).

  2. Add feeds to the NuGet Package Search UI by adding a new ObjectType with:

  • ObjectType.ObjectType set as .../v3/index.json URL of the feed
  • ObjectType.Description set as .../v3/index.json URL of the feed
  • ObjectType.Object set as SystemDefault.NuGet
  • ObjectType.Label set to a friendly name for the feed for UI purposes
