Overview

The following machines are available for development and testing tasks by the IBM Engineering Test Management (ETM) development team. Machine names and host names are subject to change.

Virtual Machines Maintained by ETM Team

1. ETM - 703

   • Hostname: etmcurrent.fyre.ibm.com
   • Server URL: https://etmcurrent.fyre.ibm.com:9443/qm/web
     • Software applications that are used for setting up the server
       • Database: DB2
       • Application Server: WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile
       • Applications installed from ELM Suite: CCM, DCC, GC, LDX, LQE, QM,RM, RMM, and JRS.

2. ETM - 702

   • Hostname: etmprevious.fyre.ibm.com
   • Server URL: https://etmprevious.fyre.ibm.com:9443/qm/web
     • Software applications that are used for setting up the server
       • Database: DB2
       • Application Server: WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile

2. etmw2019.fyre.ibm.com

   • Hostname: etmw2019.fyre.ibm.com
   • Server URL: https://etmw2019.fyre.ibm.com:9443/qm

       • Database: Derby
       • Application Server: WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile

3. doors1.fyre.ibm.com

   • Hostname: doors1.fyre.ibm.com
   • Server URL: https://doors1.fyre.ibm.com:8443/dwa
     • Software applications that are used for setting up the server
       • Database: DOORS DB
       • Applications installed: DOORS Rich Client and DWA.

Creating a new VM

1. Go through Fyre and Create New EMBERs.

2. Select a host name or machine name, such as: ETM -<version_number>.

   • <version_number>: The version or release of the ETM that is installed on this VM.

Maintenance

1. Latest CLM Updates
   • The most recent vm (Currently ETM - 702) must be updated every sprint.
   • See --> Run the server_upgrade script on the desktop and follow the instructions. For more information: Refer (https://github.com/quality-manager/onboarding/wiki/VMSetup)
2. ITSAS Compliance
   • The vms must maintain itsas compliance.
   • To check compliance, go to itsas.
   • The first step to fix an apar is to apply Windows Update and restart the vm. This fixes many compliance issues.
   • For details on the apars, go back to the itsas page and click on one of the vms.
   • Click an apar, then the link next to apar advisory.

3. Obtaining internal IBM Software
   • Open Software Sellers Workplace.
   • Click SSW Software Downloads Site.
   • Read and agree to the terms.
   • Search for the software that you need (e.g. Clearquest, DOORS9, or some other software that integrates with QM).
