Issue with trial account or creating an instance:
If you’re unable to create an instance, it’s likely because your IBM Cloud account was created before we introduced the trial registration flow and wasn’t completed with a credit card. Unfortunately, these accounts can’t be converted into trial accounts.
To proceed, please register a new trial account using a different email address following these steps:
- Clear all cookies and site data related to IBM websites (you can also open a private window).
- Disable any ad blockers or similar browser extensions.
- Close and reopen the browser.
- Access the registration link:
Important: Please make sure the link remains exactly as shown, especially the part that includes utm_content=IKCWW.
- Register using a different email address than previously used and choose personal account.
- Confirm the email address by entering the verification code sent to your inbox.
- Upon successful registration, no additional information regarding subscriptions or payment methods should be required. In Account Settings, the Account Type should display as Trial.
- Proceed to generate an API key and select Create New Instance. Wait for the instance to be created and refresh the page if necessary.
It’s perfectly fine if this email doesn’t match the one you used to register for the event.
At the end of the event, you’ll be asked to complete a form to claim your badge. In the form, be sure to provide your full name and the IBM Cloud IAM ID linked to the account you used during QGSS. Clear instructions on how to find your IAM ID will be included in the form.
