Description: This exciting talk would involve executing different geospatial skills to achieve the goal which is making a Beautiful 3-D Georeferenced Map. This involves data gathering (finding ready-made map), Using georeferenced skills which results in bringing the analog map to real-world coordinates, Preparing data required in blender(Black and Color map), and Applying 3-D visualization skills in blender.In this way, it gives new life to old cartographic maps. This talk is also inspired by 3-D topo sheet map creators on different platforms who use different ways to achieve the same goal which is making 3-D Georeferenced Map.

Description: This talk is about a work-in-progress QGIS plugin that uses AI to suggest map symbols (icons), including their color, for newly loaded datasets. The goal of the talk is to gather examples of layer names and feedback from the community in the early stages of implementation. The plugin uses semantic search to match layer names with colors and map symbols/icons. Suggested colors can be adapted to a color palette for web optimization or color-blindness. Behind the scenes, machine learning algorithms are used such as pre-trained large language models and clustering (open source sentence transformers from Hugging Face). This is like asking ChatGPT "What is the color of playgrounds on a map? Please output as RGB code in a sentence". This allows the user to quickly create visually appealing maps without tedious manual work.

Description: This is an open year-end freestyle mapping session. We will have several mappers working on different projects to show off cool QGIS tips and tricks from making a set of festive point markers that look like ornaments to plotting and animating the route of Santa across the globe we will see it all. Please join in on the day and show off your creativity.

Description: An insight into the possibilities of expressions in vector layers and atlas to have more flexibility. Update your information, your atlas and change from landscape to portrait within one layout.
You can do this too! We really encourage others to follow our initiative, using the wiki page link below to organise your plans (just add a section below the last one). You can host virtual meetups in the Jitsi room, plan your next steps to take QGIS further down the road to world domination and much much more. We encourage language and region-specific huddles, documentation improvement sessions, bug fixing, making beautiful maps, and working together to do amazing things with QGIS.
We would really love to see more events offered from our country user groups and broader user base. The content can be at any skill level and in any language you like, and the times can overlap if needed. So please feel free to organise your activities on this wiki page. The QGIS Open Day is also an ideal time to hold virtual country user group meet-ups - please share your activities on the open day schedule, so that even people from outside of your country user group can benefit from your presentations. Dear QGIS Users
On Friday, 08 December 2023 we will be holding our year-eand festive QGIS Open Day! What is a QGIS Open Day you may be wondering to yourself? It is an initiative to replace the wonderful community meetups we used to hold every six months when times were different. Like our in-person meetings, the event is organised on the principle of self-organisation and community participation.
