This page is a list of people who are participating in the promotion workgroup to promote PyCon India 2020 in local user groups, meetup groups, companies, colleges, and institutions across India.
Region-wise Owners
The role of each owner is to promote PyCon India 2020 in a particular geographical region or community. This will involve sending notification and announcements to local mailing lists, making announcements during meetups, etc. If the the region has a large no. of meetup groups, or there are private / restricted mailing lists or notice boards you have access to (examples are mailing lists/notice boards internal to colleges), a separate sub-region can be created.
When a notification has to be sent out, an issue will be created on the issue tracker and all the owners will be tagged on the issue. Each owner should post the notification to their respective mailing lists and indicate that on the GitHub issue.

I would like to volunteer as an owner, what should I do?
You can add your region, using the following template:

Only add other meetup groups that will have a good number of people with interest in Python (examples are GDG, coding clubs, etc.). Also, ensure that you understand and adhere to the mailing list guidelines of each of the meetup groups.

If you would like to discuss regarding promotion, post to the PyCon India mailing list. You can join the PyCon India mailing list at https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/inpycon
I want to add a meetup group to an owner, what should I do?
If you would like to request an owner to include a mailing list / meetup group to his list, create a GitHub issue in this repository.
