This guide will help you to install/run keycat on your system.

Installing with Installer Mode

[!NOTE] Keycat is only supported on x64 systems.

To install keycat, head on over to the releases section of the github repo and choose the latest release. If your system is running windows or debian, You can simply download and run the .exe and .deb files respectively. If your running another linux distro, then you can either download the zip file ending in -update and then running the keycat-client file inside, or build keycat yourself.

Using in Portable Mode

Keycat is also available in a portable mode. To use it, follow the same process as before when downloading and running the installer but instead run it with the portable command line argument.

[!TIP] You only have to use the portable argument the first time you run keycat in portable mode.

Keycat will create a few files and directories and then start up the game client. This works since keycat can act as both as the installer and as the game client.

Uninstalling

Simply run keycat with the uninstall command line argument, and it will start the uninstaller. On Windows, you can also do Control panel > Uninstall a program > Keycat > Uninstall.
