Solutions - psu-libraries/library_data_services GitHub Wiki

Solutions are proposed solutions to the problems describe in the problem issues. To propose a solution, create an issue and describe the proposed solution well enough that they can be discussed and evaluated. They don't need to be fully worked out initially.

Label the issue as a solution so that it easy to search and it is assigned to the proper column in our Waffle board.

Link the solution to the relevant problem(s). This will make it possible to search for the issue and problem together. The problem will also be updated with the information that his solution links to it.

As part of the development process, the team makes claims for and against a solution. These claims concern the ability for the solution to be implemented, the amount of time and resources it will require, and also the impact the solution will hve on solving the problem. The claims are made as comments of the issue. As the proposed solutions become more defined they can be ordered by relative importance in the Waffle board so that the most important or most impactful solutions are on top and will be handled first.
