This page describes activities performed for the simplification process to head towards a version 2 of Promregator.

Branches/Tags

For the time being, master will serve as "most current version prior to simplification".

The branch simplifiedProm is a new development branch, which contains the simplified version.

The base point from where simplifiedProm forked off from master is marked with the tag base-of-simplification.

Rules on Double Maintenance

Corrections, which are made in v0.7 (current maintenance codeline) and later, must be double maintained to:

1. master
2. simplifiedProm

Therefore, no longer master is the "highest codeline", but simplifiedProm is. Yet, we haven't switched the "default branch" from master to simplifiedProm as this would also make all markdown files (including the documentation) of Promregator the default to be shown to the world. However, time is not ripe yet to expose all our simplification ideas to the public on prominent places.
