Biomechanical Scales can be gained from killing Abyss Dwellers, or from various chests in Abyss UFOs and Abyss Ships

Biomechanical Scales can be used to repair The Phaser Set using the Phaser Armor Repair Kit at the cost of 2 EXP levels and 2 Biomechanical Scales per 1/4th of an armor piece's max durability repaired, and the Phaser Blade Sharpening Kit at the cost of 2 EXP levels and 3 Biomechanical Scales for 400 durability points repaired (1/4th of the Blade's max durability).
