#About Power BI Live Datasets

Power BI Live Datasets is a Windows application created specifically for business users who have frequently updated data in any of their datasets (presently SQL & SQL Azure) and would like to try the cool new feature of Power BI Service known as 'Live Dashboards'.

To create Live Dashboards, one has to essentially create a dataset in Power BI using the Power BI API. To do so requires one to write code. This is not always feasible considering that Power BI primarily promotes the 'self serve BI' scenario and the majority of Power BI users may not code. This particular application addresses that problem and transforms the usage of the Power BI APIs from writing code to a simple wizard driven configuration.
