#About Me

My name is Phil Lembo. I currently live in the suburbs of Raliegh, NC and work for a global company in the Fortune 200 where my official title is Enterprise Architect.

I have been in Information Technology for over 20 years, initially training as a client-server specialist at a Microsoft ATEC. After a brief time working for an agency, I was hired by one of the Big Six accounting firms as a senior support analyst. From there I came to my current employer and moved from desktops to servers, spending over a decade in identity management with a focus on diretory services. During that time I was fortunate to gain experience on both Windows and Unix platforms with a range of enterprise and open source software including products from Sun, Oracle, IBM, Google and Red Hat.

Of late most of my work involves architecting and deploying open source web solutions such as WordPress on the internal network.

Since 2004 I have maintained two blogs that focused mostly, but not exclusively, on identity management topics. In 2016, after determining that a wiki format would better serve my content, I began converting my WordPress posts into markdown for hosting in a Github wiki with a companion repository for future contributions of code.
