Viber disses rpm based distros

Really wanted to test drive Viber (which works pretty well with my budget priced Android phone) on my Fedora workstation, but it only works on Ubuntu. All that's available is a .deb package. For Ubuntu. No rpm, not even the obligatory tarball. And because they assume Ubuntu's filesystem layout an aliened version (an rpm created using the alien utility) of the package can't find the 64-bit libraries it needs. Hate to admit it, but Skype is more accommodating to non-Ubuntu Linux users. Of course some would say they have to be, given how badly their reputation has been wrecked by the Snowden disclosures. Really.
