Researching what it's going to take to convert a test Openfire instance into a 2 node cluster. Yeah, scary. Step by step instructions from Vincent Paca (a guy who knows what he's doing) for how to get this going on the Amazon cloud, Openfire+Hazelcast on Amazon EC2. The active ingredients are: 1. A common database. 2. A pair of Openfire servers. 3. The Hazelcast Plugin for Openfire. This last is based on the open source Hazelcast Community Edition code base.
