Changing the DAS Console Product Logo

Oracle has given lip service to those who feel the urge to re-brand everything by providing the ability to upload a “realm logo” for the 10g AS DAS Console. Doc for this is here. Unfortunately the result doesn’t look quite right, at least to me. First of all, the default behavior is not to display the custom logo until the user is actually logged in. Even when they are, they’ll still see the Oracle product logo unless you uncheck “Product Logo”. A possible solution after the bump.

One way around the above problem is to replace the product logo with whatever image you’d like displayed and leave the realm logo box unchecked.

Where $OH is the home for your SSO server installation (the DAS Console is usually hosted on the SSO server), the file you want to replace is:

$OH/j2ee/OC4J_SECURITY/applications/oiddas/ui/oracle/ldap/das/Images/logos/default_console.gif

It’s probably best to test out the resolution and size of the .gif file you use to make sure it doesn’t make the application pages uglier than they already are.

Note:

The logo on the SSO login page is found at:
