Carl has left the building

Today my collaborator of over a decade, Carl, will be leaving the company where we’ve both worked together to purse an opportunity in greener pastures. I know they’re greener because there are already a bunch of people over there from here and they tell me so.

To say that Carl’s one of the more intellectually gifted, quick-on-his-feet and creative individuals I’ve met in my half-century of life would be an understatement. All that and also a really nice guy.

He will be missed.

All leaves are cancelled. Panic level has been raised.

To be honest I don’t really buy the whole move to another company thing. In fact I’ve suspected for a long time that there’s a lot more to Carl that any of us suspect.
