Sun Directory 5.2 Console on CentOS 5.3

It’s been such a long time…

Anyway, just a quick note for anyone installing Sun Directory 5.2 Console on CentOS 5.3 (I’m sure there are many out there).

Two libraries that aren’t installed by default will be needed for both setup and running startconsole thereafter:

compat-libstdc++-33.i386
libXp.386

without them, you’ll get this:

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /u00/install/sun/ds52/linux/setup_data/base/nsjre/bin/base/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
