OOVOO Free Video Conferencing

A neighbor who is an actual real, live, patent-holding, engineer recommended this to me. He works from NC for a company based in FL and with facilities/business in GA. As a result he needed a reliable, cheap peer-to-peer desktop video conferencing solution.

OOVOO was what he found.

It has features, and a downloadable client. There’s even a video tutorial.

OOVOO has a partnership with OLPC and MacBook maker Quanta Computer to market and support hi-def video conferencing solutions for home users, but for now you can sign up and use their free service to communicate between any two PC’s (Windows or Mac only) with a web cam.
