Previous: Connecting the dongle

Basic settings

Once the P1 port is opened and the P1-dongle is connected, its LED should start shining red (booting), changing to blue (access point mode) after some seconds.

The dongle can now be configured through its web interface. Use a smartphone, tablet or laptop and scan for wifi networks. You should see a network named p1dongle. Connect to this network.

You might receive an error that this network has no internet connectivity, make sure your device still connects to this network.

When using a smartphone, it's recommended to turn off the mobile connection. When using a laptop, make sure any network cable is unplugged.

After connecting, the configuration webpage should open automatically. If this is not the case, open a browser and surf to http://192.168.4.1 or p1dongle.local.

Basic settings

These settings are required to connect the dongle to your network.

  • WiFi network: select your network
  • WiFi network: fill in your network password
  • User Email: optional, currently not used

Press Submit to save the settings.

You could now reboot the dongle to make it connect to your network, but we recommend to first configure additional services to get the most out of your dongle.
