The P1 dongle has a built-in LED, which also functions as a button (see: resetting the dongle). The LED allows basic user feedback depending on its colour and behaviour.

Colour Pattern Pattern name Info
Red ON Steady on Dongle is booting or updating
Blue ON Steady on Dongle is in access point mode and connected to the digital meter
Blue ON ON OFF Blink blink pause Dongle could not connect to wifi and is back in access point mode
Blue ON ON OFF OFF Slow blink Dongle is in access point mode, digital meter not detected
Blue ON OFF ON OFF Fast blink Dongle is in access point mode, critical error
Green ON Steady on Dongle is connected to the wifi network without errors
Green ON ON OFF Blink blink pause Dongle connected to wifi, could not connect to remote server (MQTT or update server)
Green ON ON OFF OFF Slow blink Dongle connected to wifi, digital meter not detected
Green ON OFF ON OFF Fast blink Dongle connected to wifi, critical error

When accessing the main portal page of the P1 dongle, the error states are displayed on top.
