Master Mixer and Inputs Mixer

One of the missing features of obs-studio for people interested in audio (music) is a Master Mixer in order to be able to monitor whether one track is peeking or not.
This is a major feature of this fork of obs-studio. For convenience we have added the ability to monitor not only the regular audio sources but also any of the tracks so that one is able to completely control one's mix.

Master Mixer

The Master Mixer is activated as an additional dock (Menu > View > docks).

The Master mixer displays the 6 output tracks. There are a monitoring icon, a streaming icon and a record icon.

  • monitoring icon (white headsets icon): enables the monitoring of the track;
  • streaming icon (green telco tower): selects the track for streaming (a single track can be selected).
  • record icon (red button): selects the track for recording. With a container compatible with multi track such as mkv or ts (mpegts), several audio tracks can be recorded.

Right-click on each track: audio filters can be applied to them ! Compressors, limiters, expander, etc !!!

Input Mixer

The input mixer displays the levels of all audio sources.
The levels displayed are post-fader and post-filter. In the next picture one can see several icons which are activated by right-cliking on each meter for each source (on default they are hidden):

  • monitoring icon (white headsets icon): enables the monitoring of the audio source;
  • 6 numbered buttons from 1-6: select the audio source for mixing in track 1 to 6.
