Why the browser extension doesn't work on some pages - pixel-grid/pixelgrid GitHub Wiki

PixelGrid extension injects a small script into the page that creates a grid when needed. Sometimes the extension could report Pixel Grid doesn't support this page. It means that extension was unable to inject the script into the currently opened page. It may occur in the following cases:

  1. You've just installed the extension while other pages were already opened. Just reload the page and extension will inject the script.
  2. Browsers have URLs like chrome://settings/, which opens special pages like settings, extension list, etc. Usually, browsers don't allow us to do anything with these pages.
  3. Browsers don't allow to inject the script into an official extension page in the browser's store — nothing to do with it.
  4. Some browsers like Opera could block extension access to search engine pages. If you want to make the extension work on these pages, enable the setting for this: image
