Brief

Create a single webpage that tells a (very short!) story with words and/or images. Use jQuery functions to make the story interactive in some simple way(s). Consider using the time functions setTimeout() and/or setInterval() to add a sense of time to the story. If using variables makes sense, use them.

For example, you could use a timeout to have the shocking ending to the story appear after a delay, or you could use setInterval to continuously and text to the story ("a long, long, long, long, long... time ago"), or perhaps timeouts could add multiple pieces to the story at different moments so that they overlap and interrelate. You could have the name of a character who dies fade out everywhere in the story on mouseover to convey their vanishing from the world (hint: use a span tag for that). Or anything else you find interesting!

Grading

Exercises are not meant to be exhausting or stressful, but rather a chance to play with the technical and expressive possibilities of the programming learned in class.

Exercises are graded as either

• Pass: Genuine engagement with the concept of the exercise, effort made to use the technology creatively
• Fail: Non submission, not-functional, or unacceptably minimal effort
