Apollo and Noodles - pingumacpenguin/FH86XX_Cameras GitHub Wiki

The camera runs two important custom applications, called bizarrely apollo and noodles.

Apollo launches a bunch of stuff at startup, and then loops and logs activity on the camera. This task is important as it also launches the watchdog and a bunch of other housekeeping tasks.

Generally it logs to /dev/null, however if you log in as root, kill apollo and launch it again, you will see its output on the console.

Noodles on the other hand does a few things, including launching the streaming server (and providing the bug that lets us get root on the device). It also appears to allow remote upgrading of the camera. I haven't played with that.... yet... What could possibly go wrong ;~)

Like apollo, it is possible to kill and relaunch this and watch what is going on.

One more task (launched by apollo) which looks worth investigating is

/app/abin/dev_ctrl

This appears to be responsible for the devices for sd card, network etc.

Noodles

Of course if you actually want to eat Apollo Noodles, you need to get yourself down to Poundland
