Welcome to the td-predecessors wiki!

I strive to make this a memex.

This is an attempt to bear witness for the next generation, after the TD community dies a natural death. (just like humans, a community is born, and then, a community matures - or faces a dramatic moment of tension - and then, a community dies, freeing up resources for another community that can better fill in a niche).

values

what are the values of the TD community (that survive after death)?

this is a community of practice; we are not just a social club where people know each other well. we gather together to maintain a practice, which is: To do things you have never done before, to get yourself out of a situation of stagnation in your life, (whatever your current circumstances may be). to do that, you might want to talk to a catalyst-like human: interesting strangers who inspire and encourage yourself. You meet them in "real life", not just in Cyber-space.

what is TD, in one sentence?

a gathering of catalysts.

what is TD, in another sentence?

a space - any physical space: it could be a picnic mat on a green field in a public park - where it is easier to find a genius from the fringes of society, who can agitate you sufficiently into an unexpectedly delightful project.
