This tutorial describes step-by-step the process of creating a user account to access the PhenoMeNal [public Cloud Research Environment (target site decommissioned)] (CRE).

How to create a login for the PhenoMeNal gateway

1. From your web browser go to the [PhenoMeNal Gateway (target site decommissioned)] home page and click on the "Sign-in" button on the top right corner of the screen.

2. Click on the "Continue" tab.

3. Login is through our Elixir Authentication and Authorisation Infrastructure (AAI) collaboration service, using your ORCID, LinkedIn, Google, or institutional account (eduGAIN). The figure below shows sign in using Google.

4. Click on "Yes continue" to give consent about securely releasing basic personal information to EMBL-EBI Elixir SSO service.

5. You have to confirm the following checkboxes before you can press "Continue":

• you have read the [ELSI requirements (target site decommissioned)],
• you only use [anonymised data (target site decommissioned)] in any PhenoMeNal CRE, and
• you accept the [terms and conditions (target site decommissioned)]

How to register to deploy your Cloud Research Environment (CRE) on the PhenoMeNal cloud

1. Click "Register"

2. Create a "password" to register.

3. Click "Login" to access the PhenoMeNal deployed Galaxy instance.

4. Returning users can directly go to [https://public.phenomenal-h2020.eu (decommissioned!) (target site decommissioned)] to access the PhenoMeNal Galaxy instance.
