Running as Docker image

phoss SMP can be run as a Docker image. Preconfigured images with the SMP application are available, depending on the backend you want to use:

• https://hub.docker.com/r/phelger/phoss-smp-xml/tags (same as https://hub.docker.com/r/phelger/smp/tags)
• https://hub.docker.com/r/phelger/phoss-smp-sql/tags
• https://hub.docker.com/r/phelger/phoss-smp-mongodb/tags

Health and readiness probes

When running phoss SMP in Kubernetes or a comparable orchestrator, use the two dedicated endpoints:

• /ping as the liveness probe - it only checks that the process and the web application respond
• /smp-ready as the readiness probe - it additionally checks that the configured backend can currently serve requests
