Chrysoprase is an entirely new material based on the actual real-world gemstone. The name was chosen particularly for its aquamarine-like color, similar to the one it has in-game. Chrysoprase comes mainly in a crystal form, but can also be easily crafted into 3 pieces of Chrysoprase dust.

Chrysoprase represents the embodiment of photosynthetically created matter, being a formation of the light gathered by the trees from the surface, (as such the lore of the mod.)

Chrysoprase can be used for a variety of recipes, such as unlocking some important steps in progression, upgrading items artificially, and having other unique functionality. The main use is within its dust form, which lets you power on Glowroot Rune blocks, making them work functionally, (more info in that section.) It can also be used as a way to power Glowroot Golems for higher efficiency, cover any rooted-type wood block, and more, (one fun use is that Chrysoprase can be used to light Glowroot TNT, with it actually having larger explosion power when using crystals!)

Chrysoprase can be obtained two ways, either by using a Glowroot Node to turn flora into crystals, (more info in the Flora section,) or by mining it off of the Chrysoprase crystal chunks that can be found naturally generating in the cave biome.
