The Rec Room is a really cool place that is both bar/restaurant and games arcade. It's down by Lake Ontario, a 20 minute walk or 8 minute taxi from the DoubleTree. Found this description online:

This will not be a traditional arrival dinner where we reserve tables and all eat dinner at the same time. Ingy and Olaf are planning to get there at 5:30pm and stay until at least 9pm. People can show up when they want and find a table with other people to eat food. We will attempt to make sure people find each other. If you are having trouble, find us (Ingy or Olaf) and we'll help you get settled in. We're encouraging people to wear their conference badges. We'll bring over the conference badges that have not yet been picked up by 5pm, so if you haven't picked yours up yet, you can get it from us at the restaurant.
