Hackathon space is held in Gallileo
Hackathons
We have space for face-to-face collaboration for the full day before the conference (Tuesday June 21st), and the full day after the conference (Saturday June 25th). We will do our best to connect Volunteers to Projects, or you might get a boost from working on your own project in a room full of knowledgeable peers.
Anyone who shows up thinking they have nothing to offer will be asked to review documentation (Raku's, or smaller projects), because "beginner's eyes" are valuable and not reproducible. First-time readers can find problems that the original authors will never see on their own. We have gotten several long-term Raku contributors in just this way!
Forward-thinking hackers can note their projects and/or projected presence here:
Projects
- Raku documentation review
- Perl IDE's and Editors - VS Code (Language server), Vim, Emacs, Jetbrains, others
- https://grep.metacpan.org
- We're looking for some help with the ticket queue - https://github.com/metacpan/metacpan-grep-front-end/issues
- This is a dancer app. Come see atoomic or toddr for more information!
Planned attendance
- Bruce Gray (Util)
- Brian Scannell
- Dean Hamstead
- Mark Gardner - interested in language server for non-VS Code editor (BBEdit), will be arriving late Tuesday morning
- D Ruth Holloway (GeekRuthie) - will be working on my own projects, but available for Dancer2/DBIx::Class-ey sorts of questions/assistance/ideas.
