Recogito Tutorial: Browsing the Map - pelagios/pelagios.github.io GitHub Wiki

Each place annotation, resolved to a geo-located place, becomes a green dot on the map view. If the same place is annotated multiple times, the dot becomes proportionally bigger, to communicate, at a glance, the different relevance of particular places in a document. Clicking on a dot in map view, you access a pop up preview of your annotation. If the place has more than one annotation, you will be able to browse them back and forth using the small arrows. The pop-up will also tell you exactly how many annotations for that place there are in the document you annotated. If you are visualising annotations on a text document, a button “jump to text” in the pop-up will bring you to the exact annotation you were browsing in the map view. Beside being a very powerful visualisation function, this view also gives you the chance to check your annotations and, if needed, to correct them. If you are visualising annotations of an image document, clicking on the dots on the map you will see in the pop-up the portion of the image that you have annotated. If you are annotating a spreadsheet, you will see all the values related to the annotated place, in tabular format.
