Hiring / In-processing:

  1. You will receive an e-mail from HR with instructions about where to show up and when on your official start day. Generally you need to complete a W9, which means providing some sort of government ID (passport / drivers license).
  2. You should already have e-mail, access to Howdy setup by this point. Familiarize yourself with what to find where:
  • canvas.tamu.edu (course webpages)
  • howdy.tamu.edu (one-stop shop for most things - link to canvas, advising tools, etc.
  • sso.tamus.edu (for employees - UG/grad/post-doc on payroll). Link to:
    • Concur (travel requests)
    • Workday (submit hours / HR)
    • TrainTraq (electronic training)
    • MyEvive (benefits)

Safety Training:

All students are required to complete the following (to access EIC 105, DLH labs):

  1. e-mail to [email protected] to request adding you to lab/offices permission list
  2. add to Slack channel (communications)

  4. add to iLab (accounts for MCF, etc.)
  5. add to BioRaft (lab user)
  6. add to github (modify handbook)
