For the timekeeping it is important to provide your geographical position (google) and fill this up in the page 'time config'. The offset to GMT is also needed, in Central Europe this is +60. When DST applies in your country, check that. Now click save. In the menu item 'settings' you should provide some data too, click help for more information.

led signals and button

functions of the push button on the device:

Switching on or off: Press briefly (the LED flashes 1x). Restarting while the LED is off: Hold down. The LED flashes 1x and lights up after a few seconds. Now release. Restarting while the LED is on (*): Hold down. The LED goes out and then lights up again after a few seconds. Now release.

  • Note: with older versions (earlier than Sonoff-v2_3) the LED does not go out when you hold down the button. You must then hold the button down for approx. 6 seconds. Reset: Keep holding down the button. The LED flashes 1x and lights up after a few seconds. Only release after the LED has gone out again. The network data is now deleted and an access point (AP with address 192.168.4.1) is opened so that you can redo the basic settings. (see 'putting into use'). The LED is now on continuously.

meaning of the led signals:

The led lights up for half a second when the (external) button is pressed. If the led lights up permanently, no connection could be made to your wireless network (wifi). An access point has now been opened. This is normal if you have not previously connected the switch to your network.

If it has been connected before, you can try to restart the switch using the push button. If the led has flashed 3 times, a connection has been made to your network. You can now browse to the web page of the switch.
