Frame

  • 4 * 500mm 2060 extrusion - main box
  • 1 * 448mm 2040 extrusion - X axis support
  • 1 * 500mm 2020 extrusion - Y axis
  • 3 * 500mm MGN12 linear rail - X axis rails, Y axis rail
  • 8 * 10-24 by 1/2" Trilobe screws - making the frame a crazy strong square
  • 8 * 10-24 washers
  • Nema 17 motor with 500mm leadscrew attached (450 should be OK)
  • Anti-backlash leadscrew nut for above motor
  • 4+??? M3x10mm screws

Belt Drive Axis

Hardware

  • 2 * 500mm 12mm smooth rod - Belt drive rails
  • 4 * 12mm bearings - to mount the rollers
  • 2 * 2 3/8" OD aluminum framing rail, cut to 420mm mcmaster aluminum rail - rollers
  • 1 * 12" wide steel shim stock - mcmaster shim stock - this is the bed surface
  • 1 * roll of 2" wide green PET tape - tape up the whole bed and print on this :-)
  • 1 * 24x24" polyurethane foam sheet - mcmaster sheet - cushion the rollers
  • 1 * 24x28" UHMW sheet - mcmaster UHMW - smooth surface for the steel to slide on
  • 1 * 18x15x1/8" SIZE ESTIMATED aluminum sheet - print bed
  • 2 * 448mm 2060 extrusion - support the surface front and rear
  • 2 * aluminum extrusion corner - used to tension the bed
  • 2 * M3x20mm - sticks up from the sliding rod mount to loop the spring onto
  • 2 * 1.25" long , .5" OD, 108lbs/in steel extension spring - mcmaster spring - bed tensioner
  • 2 * 8-32 by 1" steel eye bolts - mcmaster eyebolts - tensioner
  • 2 * 8-32 brass knurled nut - mcmaster nut
  • 2 * Nema 17 stepper motor

  • 2 * roller end idler
  • 2 * roller end herringbone gear
  • 2 * herringbone drive gear **note: no need to mirror, since both get turned around for the 2nd side
