How to Install the Addon from GitHub

  1. Download the Addon:

    • Go to the GitHub repository of the Omnibar Addon.
    • Click on the green "Code" button and select "Download ZIP."

  2. Extract the Files:

    • Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a temporary folder.
    • Open the OmniBar_Wotlk_3.3.5-main folder. You should see a "README.MD" file and an "OmniBar" folder.

  3. Move Only the "OmniBar" Folder to Your WoW Addons Folder:

    • Locate your WoW Addons folder, typically at:
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft-3.3.5\Interface\AddOns
    • Drag or copy the "OmniBar" folder into the AddOns directory. omniBarFolder

  4. Ensure Correct Folder Structure:

    • The addon files should be directly inside a folder named after the addon. Avoid extra nested folders.
    • Double check that the folders name is OmniBar and not OmniBar_Wotlk_3.3.5-main

  5. Launch the Game:

    • Start World of Warcraft.
    • On the character selection screen, click on "AddOns" to make sure the addon is listed and enabled.

  6. Test and Configure:

    • Enter the game and type /ob and test if the addon is working properly.
